I agree. Without candles it looks almost devilish. Reminds me that this year Halloween and All Saints fell on the same day!
You're right. Fully loaded with candles it would look perfectly fine. But then we wouldn't have had anything to discuss...

I have never seen an object like this, torture come to mind, even if I don't know why...
I can't really say I was contemplating tools for inflicting physical pain on that sunny, peaceful afternoon but I guess we can agree about this object being a bit - ambiguous.
