Water certainly has a magical effect on photographs (well, except in the physical sense, of course) - water is always beautiful.
Trees too.

Once in a while at springtime there is even too much of a good thing around these trees but they seem to live and prosper in spite of the occasional flooding.

Arborist? You clearly have a trauma. I would like you to put up more tree pics, as a part of the therapy. By the way, alders love water.
I even hear chainsaws in the middle of a symphony these days. Clearly a postmodern, post-garden trauma...
