Do you remember these? Phone booths? I wonder what kids of today will say about these installments - after all there are still a few of them left out there, although they don't provide much functionality in a time of cell phones and wi-fi connection points...
But at least it's a beautiful memorial from a time when a phone booth was a normal, every-day thing - and not a rare curiosity.

This was an 'ordinary' phone booth booth over there? You have to explain this a little better...
A delightful catch.
Would you believe that I did in fact snap a similar communications monument in Sigtuna during one of my summer night adventures? For whatever reason, it was never published.
Vogon Poet: yes, this was an ordinary phone booth, back in the day. Not the latest - or even second latest - model, but my guess is earlier in the last century this is the way they looked. (I do say "my guess", because I wasn't really around back then...!)
Per: I would believe you took a phone booth picture, but I can't believe you didn't post it...! :)
I figured someone would come up with a better shot. And someone did!
@ Jenny - Thanks, I was really perplexed!
