at Sickla station. Why are they here? Maybe to fill their bags at the mall, maybe they just live in the vicinity? Who knows? A lot of questions....

more shopping tomorrow
Arguably, quite a few shops and malls are rather vacated these days. In fairness, this interior from the mall Solna centrum was snapped a few minutes before closing time. 120 shops and restaurants, open seven days a week. The current, glazed-in version of the mall in Solna by architect Ivar Krepp was opened twenty years ago.

bagarmossen - 19 meters under
Bagarmossen ("Baker's Bog") subway station was moved (or rather reconstructed) in 1994. The earlier station was situated above ground.

fotbollsstadion (2)
The national football arena could do with a major face lift. Or preferably a major replacement.

Meet Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher
A fearsome closeup of the two rams in front of Thors wagon. I'm glad they are not able to stomp me for real. Read the rest of the story here.

ice sailing
It's fun to see ice boats ("isjakt" in Swedish) sailing. They are very fast and can easily reach 100 km/h with the world record over 150 mph (240 km/h). Picture taken outside Berghamns Brygga in Lake Mälaren.

The system is down
I'm aware of the fact that not all of you have received mail from Charlie Root. No! Not from Charlie Henry Root (the famous Cubs Baseball player who was named "the all-time Cubs right-hander" the same year as UNIX was born at Bell Laboratories 1969) but maybe from the UNIX kernel which carries the same name when sending E-mail. Picture taken at Kärsön in Lake Mälaren.
